About
- Condensate Polishing Unit (CPU) is to treat biomethaneted spentwash evaporation condensate and distillation plant spent lees. The treated water will be reused for distillery cooling water or for fermentation process (molasses dilution as make-up water). A condensate polisher is a device used to filter water condensed from steam as part of the steam cycle.
Why CPU?
A condensate polishing unit (CPU) plays a crucial role in power plants by purifying condensed steam, preventing contamination-related equipment damage, and ensuring high-purity water for steam generation. Advantages include improved plant efficiency, reduced maintenance costs, extended equipment lifespan, and enhanced overall operational reliability. CPUs effectively remove impurities, such as ions and particles, safeguarding the integrity of critical components and minimizing corrosion, scaling, and deposition issues.
